Our year of listening, formally in meetings and informally in conversations, confirmed that the Downtown community loves Jesus, each other, and worshiping downtown in our sanctuary. These times of sharing also revealed opportunities to care for our history-rich facilities and support our journey to be Downtown for Good with two areas of focus: improved accessibility and greater hospitality.
Two teams of members worked closely with Downtown Trustees and Sherman Carter Barnhart Architects to identify 1) detailed maintenance needs and 2) possible redesigns and improved use of current spaces to make our Downtown facilities more accessible and hospitable.
PROJECT SCOPE AND INVESTMENT COST
FINANCIAL SUMMARY
We continue to make good progress against our $2.25MM financial goal for ACT II with pledges to date. The generosity and support of this initiative through financial contributions and gifts-in-kind are truly a blessing and demonstrates a strong commitment by our community to ensure we are “Downtown for Good.”
The initial focus of Act II has been on addressing the much-needed improvements and deferred maintenance to our Downtown campus. You can see the progress by clicking on the “Timeline and Photos” tab above. We hope you share in the excitement of the work to date.
Despite COVID and the challenges this has presented, we continue to have strong resolve to bring this initiative to completion.
The Act II Team thanks you for your ongoing interest, support and most importantly, prayers.
