Family Ministries

Welcome to Downtown Family Ministries! Below you’ll find a map outlining our approach to partnering with you in the discipleship of your children. We have a mission and goals for each child who walks through our doors and are intentional in helping children take steps on their discipleship journey.

We want each child to know they are loved by God and that they are created in the image of God. We want them to love God with all their being and to love their neighbors, too. We believe these emphases will prepare each child and student to live fully, not just for themselves but for God and others. Our curriculum and structure match the developmental phases for each child in order to reach them where they are and guide them to their next steps.

The map outlines the regular and special programs we have for birth through high school. Whether they are in nursery or Sunday School or at a special event, your child will encounter adults committed to their discipleship who will be consistent in their presence and encouragement.

The map also details certain milestones: baptism, first day of school, Wonderfully Made, Confirmation, getting a driver’s license, and graduation. These are significant points of celebration, not only for your family but for your church family as well, so we celebrate these milestones with you.

Baptism FAQ

Do you baptize infants/babies?

We do. We believe that baptism is an outward and visible sign of God’s grace. Baptism is an opportunity for parents and our congregation to make a public commitment to nurture the child in faith, and we are always grateful to pledge to partner with parents in this way.

How do I arrange a baptism?

Contact Barry Prince (Children's Ministry) here.
